WildPlay

March 25th, 2015 by

Stumbled across this amazing event recently – an event to raise funds for Centennial Parklands Foundation for the Ian Potter Children’s Wild Play Garden within Centennial Park.

Now, the first thing that caught my eye was the venue provided by Samikata Tipi Events, am loving all things Tipi at the moment!  The party was set amongst the trees and tipis at the Residences at the Paddington Gates in Centennial Park. Styled by the ever so talented Georgie from After the Rock , this party was set for success! With an a-list guest list and flowing drinks and fine food, this was a must attend event. I love that the venue was created for the event, by using a Tipi. I think these Tipi’s are great, maybe even for a corporate conference, thinking outside the box when it comes to your event venue.

Wildplay Accessories that guests could purchase on the night to added a little ‘wild’ to their outfits – from masks and animal tails, to flashing bracelets and feather headpieces. A great way to get guests in theme on the night of an event, as people are often embarrassed to dress up prior. This, however this makes for a fun option on the night, whatever the theme.

To compliment the event setting, the catering team from Urban Purveyor Group (Sake, Ananas, Lowenbrau Keller, The Cut, The Argyle and Swine & Co) did a seriously good job. There is no better way to cater for a stand up cocktail party than providing guests with a pig on the spit, a campfire serving truffle mac & cheese, Sake Sashimi station and the most incredible liquid nitrogen influenced desserts, and as something truly special – all the head chefs from each restaurant were there to cook for the WildPlay guests.

The other thing I absolutely loved about this event was the Tiffany and Co sponsored key rings as a gift with the raffle ticket purchase. Five necklaces were won on the night from the raffle (the incredible actress Marta Dusseldorp bought wit and beauty to the drawing of the raffle). This just oozes class and complements everything about this fabulous event.

No party is complete without a photo booth, guests can never get enough of these. I am all about bringing something new to an event, however you can’t argue with the classics! Everyone loves a good photo! In an Instant supplied this interactive photo booth.
